hullo! so who else is participating in international clean out your closet month? not an actual thing, i know, but it seems so many of us have the urge right now to really pare down, simplify and make room to appreciate what we have. with those goals in mind i have been tackling my home and filling bags to donate like a woman on mission.
which i am.
a woman.
on a mission.
to declutter.
*theme music*
but with my successful drop off of five bags at the thrift (FIVE BAGS!) i also came home with this little beauty. a small grey bowl whose sole purpose is to be beautiful and make me happy. the above photo is just to show the size of the gem. not too big and not too small. just right for vignetting. (and so it seems that according to my spellcheck "vignetting" is an actual word. also, point of interest, "spellcheck" is not. who knew?)
he appears to be handmade but i am having a difficult time trying to make out the signature on the bottom. timmie? tamie? i am certain he is of no great pedigree but i still like to "know" the story behind my little pre-loved pieces. any info or guesses welcome.
sidenote: i want to apologize for the quality of the photos in this post. my actual camera has dead batteries and being so cold i was not at all inclined to go outside to get any fresh ones. some things i will go out in the cold for. fajitas, new 'marvel' movies, thrift store drop offs... but not batteries. those can wait.
what are your january goals? are you planning on cleaning out or cleaning up at the thrifts with all the pre-loved goodness coming through the doors this month?
